About the Product

Albacore tuna, caught off the pristine waters of the BC coast, is a rare gem. It’s loved by sushi chefs and enthusiasts for its luscious taste and high nutrition. The key is the fat content. Albacore is an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids. It’s also the fat that enriches the flavour and provides the umami experience. For our sushi-grade loins, we select the fish at the docks with the highest fat content in the fall season, when they are plumping up for a long migration. Fishing crews assure their quality, catching sustainably by line and quickly freezing onboard.

ABOUT US

Grizzly Seafoods is an import export and wholesaling company dealing mostly in semi-processed and processed frozen seafood products. We are a sister company of a sons & father seafood business established in Tokyo, Japan, in 2017. Our family has roots in British Columbia and we were importing black cod, snow crab, spot prawns and other products from Canada, but the Grizzly in us kept calling.

 

So in 2022 the timing was right to create our new business in BC, which offers our customers the advantage of greater market knowledge and diversification. We now source more seafood directly and use our processing network in Asia to provide products of high quality and cost savings to our growing global customer base. Beyond this, we join the gourmet inspiration and experience in Japan to introduce products with the subtle elegance and taste of that rich seafood culture.
